Design Engineer (Catia V5 / V6)

Job Responsibilities – Design Engineer (Automobile Suspension Design) Qualification: BE / BTech (Mech/Auto) Experience : 0-2 years in Automobile industry with good working experience in Catia V5/V6 Salary : Rs.15000 (PM-Net Pay) + EPF + ESIC + Canteen + Transport Concept & Design Development Design, develop, and optimize suspension systems (front/rear, independent, dependent, and advanced suspension technologies). Create 3D CAD models and detailed engineering drawings using design software (e.g., CATIA, Creo, NX, SolidWorks). Ensure designs meet performance, durability, and regulatory requirements. Analysis & Validation Perform design calculations for load, stress, kinematics, and compliance. Support CAE/FEA simulations for ride comfort, handling, and NVH (Noise, Vibration & Harshness) characteristics. Review test data and validate design improvements. Product Development Support Collaborate with cross-functional teams (R&D, Manufacturing, Quality, and Testing) throughout product lifecycle. Participate in prototype development, vehicle integration, and design reviews. Support DVPR (Design Verification Plan & Report) and track validation activities. Cost & Manufacturing Feasibility Ensure suspension designs are cost-effective and optimized for manufacturability. Work closely with suppliers to evaluate materials, processes, and components. Implement value engineering initiatives to reduce cost while maintaining performance. Compliance & Standards Adhere to automotive standards (ISO, SAE, BIS, etc.) and customer-specific requirements. Ensure compliance with safety, durability, and environmental regulations. Continuous Improvement Analyze warranty/field issues and provide design improvements. Benchmark competitor suspension systems and recommend enhancements. Stay updated with latest trends in suspension technologies (adaptive, active suspension, lightweight materials).
