Assembly Technician

Job Title: Assembly OperatorDepartment: Production / Manufacturing Reports To: Production Supervisor / Line LeaderJob Purpose: The Assembly Operator is responsible for assembling components or products according to standard operating procedures, quality standards, and safety requirements, ensuring smooth workflow and timely production. Key Responsibilities:Assemble products, sub-assemblies, or components according to work instructions and drawings. Operate hand tools, power tools, and assembly equipment safely and efficiently. Conduct visual and functional inspections to ensure quality standards are met. Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and maintain production records. Identify defective parts or errors and report them to the supervisor. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment. Adhere to company safety, quality, and productivity policies. Support continuous improvement activities within the production line. Qualifications & Skills:Education: Minimum High School / ITI / Diploma (Mechanical, Electrical, or related field preferred). Experience: 0–2 years of experience in assembly or manufacturing (freshers can be considered with training). Technical Skills: Ability to read and understand technical drawings/work instructions. Basic knowledge of assembly tools, machines, and measuring instruments. Soft Skills: Good hand–eye coordination and attention to detail. Ability to work in a team and follow instructions. Willingness to work in shifts and meet production targets. Physical Requirements:Ability to stand for long periods. Manual dexterity to handle small components. Ability to lift moderate weights as per safety guidelines. Work Environment:Shop floor / Production line. May involve working with machinery, tools, and in noisy environments (PPE will be provided).
