Design Coordinator

We are looking for an individual to act as the primary link between the design consultants, the client, and the on-site execution team. The Design Coordinator manages the flow of all technical information, ensures designs are well-coordinated and clash-free, and resolves design-related queries to ensure smooth project execution.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Manage the submission, review, and distribution of all design drawings, specifications, and technical documents.
• Organize and lead regular design coordination meetings with Architects, Structural, MEP, and other consultants.
• Use software tools (like AutoCAD, Navisworks, or Revit) to overlay drawings and identify interdisciplinary clashes.
• Manage the Request for Information (RFI) process, ensuring timely and accurate responses from consultants.
• Review designs for constructability, value engineering opportunities, and compliance with project requirements.
• Coordinate the preparation and approval of workshop drawings and material submittals.
• Ensure the site team is always working with the latest "Good For Construction" (GFC) drawings.
• Maintain a comprehensive log of all design documents, revisions, and communications.

Key Skills Required:

• Proficiency in

  AutoCAD

  is essential.
• Knowledge of

  BIM software

  (Revit, Navisworks) is a major advantage.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.
• Meticulous attention to detail.
• Ability to read and interpret complex engineering and architectural drawings.

Qualifications Required:

• B.E. / B.Tech in Civil Engineering or B.Arch (Bachelor of Architecture).

Experience Required:

• 5 to 10 years of experience in a design coordination or technical role within a construction or consulting firm.
