Design Consultant (Sales+Design)

Role Overview:

Wakefit Interiors is building a next-generation home interior experience that blends thoughtful design, transparent pricing, and reliable execution. The EC Officer will handle client walk-ins, understand their needs and budgets, present design and material possibilities, and close deals. The role demands a balance of design understanding and business acumen ideal for design professionals who also enjoy client interaction and sales.

Role & responsibilities

1. Client Consultation & Sales

• Engage with showroom walk-ins, leads, and appointments.
• Understand client requirements, layouts, and budgets.
• Present modular solutions and design options using Experience Centre setups and digital catalogues.
• Prepare and explain quotations in a clear, professional manner.
• Handle objections, follow up with clients, and close token payments.
• Achieve monthly sales and GMV targets.

2. Design Understanding

• Read and interpret floor plans and layouts.
• Should know design softwares like Autocad, Cohoom etc.
• Recommend finishes, materials, and modular configurations based on client needs.
• Ensure proposed designs are feasible, aesthetic, and within budget.
• Collaborate with in-house designers and Design Partners (DPs) for final design feasibility.

3. Coordination & Reporting

• Maintain all lead and quotation data accurately in CRM.
• Share daily and weekly reports on EC visits, quotations, and tokens received.
• Coordinate with marketing and CRM teams for smooth lead management.
• Provide feedback on client preferences, design trends, and competitor pricing.

Preferred candidate profile

• Bachelors degree or diploma in Interior Design / Architecture / Design Management.
• 2-6 years of interior design or modular showroom sales experience
• Strong understanding of modular kitchens, wardrobes, vanities, and finishes.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and client-handling skills.
• Ability to read floor plans and discuss practical design solutions.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD or SketchUp preferred.
• Target-oriented and self-driven.
• Comfortable working 6 days a week .(rotational off)
