Deputy Purchase Manager

As a Deputy Purchase Manager / Purchase Manager with 5+ years of experience in domestic & international procurement of Lithium-ion battery components, your role will involve managing procurement activities for lithium-ion battery production. You will focus on sourcing materials both domestically and internationally, requiring strategic sourcing, cost negotiation, vendor development, and timely coordination with production and R&D teams for optimal procurement performance. Key Responsibilities: - Plan and manage the purchase of materials according to production & R&D needs - Identify, evaluate, and onboard new vendors in India and overseas - Negotiate prices and ensure timely, cost-effective procurement - Track orders, manage records, and ensure timely delivery - Conduct market research and prepare cost analysis - Coordinate with warehouse/logistics for quality checks - Maintain procurement documentation and audit readiness - Report regularly to management and manage purchase budgets Qualifications Required: - Experience in the Lithium-ion battery industry - Strong knowledge of supply chain & procurement processes - Proficiency in Excel and purchasing tools - Good negotiation, communication, and vendor management skills - Bachelor's degree required; MBA/PGDM preferred In addition to the above, the company is looking for candidates with skills in supply chain management, sheet metal parts procurement, market research, cost analysis, and vendor management within the context of the Lithium-ion battery industry.,
