The Global Purchasing Business Process Manager, P2O is responsible for driving excellence in procurement processes by designing, optimizing, and standardizing end-to-end purchasing workflows across the organization. The BPE collaborates with cross-functional teams, business units, and system owners to ensure efficient, compliant, and digitally enabled procurement operations. This role can be based in either of our GES Hubs, Bangalore India, Manila Philippines or Wroclaw Poland, and it will be reporting to the Global Process Owner, Source to Order. Your Role Process Design & Optimization Analyze current-state purchasing processes (e.g., PR to PO, goods receipt, invoice matching) to identify gaps, inefficiencies, and compliance risks Design and implement optimized to-be process flows, controls, and documentation Support ERP-related process changes and integration with tools like Ariba, Fieldglass, and GTS Governance & Compliance Maintain global standard operating procedures (SOPs), process maps, and work instructions Ensure alignment with internal control frameworks and audit requirements (e.g., SOX) Establish process governance and change control mechanisms Tool Management & Optimization Manage Purchasing Tools: Ensure optimal functionality and utilization of purchasing systems (e.g., SAP Ariba, Oracle, etc) for purchasing activities. Tool Optimization: Lead initiatives to enhance system efficiency, implement new functionalities, and integrate purchasing tools with other enterprise systems. Provide training and support to purchasing teams on the effective use of tools to maximize efficiency and compliance. Work with IT and system vendors to troubleshoot, update, and enhance purchasing platforms and tools as necessary. Monitor tool performance, address issues, and drive automation to improve purchasing and procurement outcomes. Policy Development & Enforcement Develop and update purchasing policies to reflect industry best practices, regulatory requirements, and organizational goals. Communicate and train relevant teams on policy changes, ensuring widespread adoption and adherence. Facilitate governance committees to review, approve, and enforce purchasing strategies, ensuring they align with the organization&aposs goals. Data & Performance Analytics Track, analyze, and report key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of purchasing processes, tools, and governance (e.g. purchasing cycle time, purchase requisition/order quality, catalog coverage). Leverage data insights to make informed decisions and provide recommendations for continuous improvement. Develop and maintain dashboards and reports in collaboration with IT and analytics teams to monitor purchasing performance. Training & Stakeholder Engagement Act as a subject matter expert (SME) on purchasing processes, tools, and governance frameworks, providing guidance and support to operational purchasing teams and stakeholders. Conduct regular training sessions to improve team proficiency in governance, compliance, and tool optimization. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth process transitions and the integration of purchasing tools. Project Management Lead and support purchasing-related projects, ensuring project timelines, objectives, and deliverables are met. Coordinate across global and regional teams to align purchasing policies, processes, and governance frameworks. Manage change initiatives related to the implementation of new purchasing processes or systems. Who You Are Bachelors degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Procurement, or a related field. A Masters degree or professional certifications (e.g., CPSM, CIPS) is preferred. Minimum 5 years of experience in procurement, purchasing operations, or process improvement Experience with ERP systems (SAP preferred) and procurement tools (e.g., Ariba) Track record of delivering process optimization projects across regions or business units Proven track record in managing and optimizing purchasing tools and systems (e.g., SAP Ariba, Oracle). Experience working in large-scale purchasing operations or multinational organizations Deep knowledge of procurement systems, purchasing tools, and process automation. Experience in system integration, tool management, and driving tool-related enhancements. Proven expertise in process improvement, standardization, and governance frameworks. Strong understanding of regulatory compliance and risk management within purchasing. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders and lead cross-functional teams. Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects in a fast-paced environment. Highly detail-oriented, proactive, and results-driven.
