Deputy Manager / Manager Industrial Relations & HR (Plant)

Location - Bangalore (Jigani Industrial area)

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic HR professional to oversee Industrial Relations (IR) and HR operations at our manufacturing facility. The primary focus of this role will be to manage relationships with unions, address employee concerns, ensure statutory compliance, and support various HR and administrative functions. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in industrial relations and labor law, with the ability to foster a positive and productive workplace culture. Proficiency in the Kannada language is essential.

Key Responsibilities

Industrial Relations (IR):

  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with union representatives and members.
  • Address employee grievances and manage disciplinary procedures in accordance with company policies and legal requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable labor laws, statutory regulations, and industrial relations practices.
  • Liaise with government and labor department officials, maintaining constructive relationships with external stakeholders.

HR & Administration:

  • Support recruitment, onboarding, and employee engagement initiatives at the plant level.
  • Maintain accurate employee records, including attendance, leave, and other HR documentation.
  • Oversee plant administrative functions such as canteen operations, security, and housekeeping services.
  • Assist in the implementation of HR policies, preparation of reports, and other related HR activities.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Graduate or Postgraduate degree in Human Resources, Industrial Relations, or a related field.
  • Minimum of

    10 years of experience

    in HR and IR, preferably within a

    manufacturing or plant environment

    .
  • Strong knowledge of labor laws and proven experience in handling union matters.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
  • Fluency in Kannada (spoken and written) is mandatory.
