Job Title:

Deputy Manager – Legal & Corporate Affairs

Location:

Gurgaon Regional Office

Experience Required:

5 Years (In-house corporate legal experience preferred)

Qualification:

LL.B / LL.M

Key Responsibilities

  • Contract Management
End-to-end drafting, vetting, reviewing, and negotiating commercial contracts including service agreements, vendor agreements, warehousing agreements (lease deeds, leave & license agreements), NDAs, and Power of Attorneys etc.
Support business stakeholders during negotiations and ensure timely contract execution.Conduct due diligence of properties and prepare title search reports where required.
  • Litigation & Legal Notices
Draft, review, and respond to legal notices on behalf of the organization.
Manage and oversee ongoing and potential litigations including consumer, employee, contractual, and fraud-related matters.Represent organization interests before courts, quasi-judicial bodies, and other authorities when required.Liaise with police authorities, external counsel, and regulatory bodies for dispute resolution, FIR filings, and legal proceedings.
  • Compliance Management
Monitor, audit, and ensure statutory compliances across corporate office and warehouse locations PAN India.
Ensure compliance with labour laws, state-specific commercial laws, licensing requirements, and regulatory filings.Obtain and renew statutory licenses, approvals, registrations, and permits in a timely manner.Assess and communicate regulatory impact on business and ensure corrective implementation.
  • Legal Governance & Advisory
Maintain legal trackers, litigation repository, and compliance dashboards.To maintain MIS Trackers and generating reports for senior management.Develop, implement, and update SOPs for legal and compliance functions.Conduct legal research and ensure alignment with evolving legal frameworks and regulations.Provide legal guidance to internal teams and conduct training on compliance, contracting processes, legal exposure, etc.

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong understanding of corporate, commercial, labour, and regulatory laws.
  • Excellent drafting, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • Experience in property due diligence and warehousing legal frameworks (preferred).
  • Ability to manage external legal counsel and handle multiple stakeholders.
  • Strong attention to detail, analytical thinking, and problem-solving approach.
  • Ability to work independently with business-aligned decision-making.
