Deputy Manager

Major Responsibilities

• Customer requirement review.
• Prepare offer for replacement pumps (KSB as well as non KSB) and LSTK enquiries.
• Review customer data, visit site and advise on changes required at site to fit new pump within existing space and submit the offer accordingly.
• Pump selection through various software.
• Ensure timely submission of offers to zonal offices / customers.
• Take the approval as per the authority matrix.
• Floating enquiries to vendors for bought out items and evaluate the offers.
• Discussion with KSB offices / customers for techno commercial points.
• Create the orders in SAP and convert the external order to internal indent.
• Order intake of replacement business.
• Follow-up for quotation getting materialized.
• Prepare purchase notes and initiate kick off meetings.
• Site visit whenever required for techno commercial discussions, to collect site data.
• Guidance to the team as per requirement.

• Selection of the pumps.
• Costing for the pump package, Indent preparation after receipt of the order.
• Data analysis.
• Offer submission.
• Site visit as and when required.
  

Work contacts

• Superiors, subordinates from BOs and ZOs, and Departments of Product Management & Support, Costing, QA, Technical Order Processing, CM, field service, Purchase, Production, Marketing services, Credit control.
• Outside KSB: Customers, sub-vendors etc.
  

Independence of operation

• Independent working with the available Techno – commercial data and set guidelines.
• Techno – commercial decisions in consultation with concerned as per authority matrix.
  

Physical effort

• Working beyond normal working hours to meet tender deadlines whenever required.
  

Work conditions

• Desk job with customer visits for solving technical issues as and when required.
