Deputy General Manager, Internal Communication

Internal Communications Strategy:

• Develop and implement a comprehensive employee communications strategy and cadence for the India organization, ensuring alignment with company and functional priorities, key business milestones, Rise, Lead, Succeed culture and HR programs/services.
• Oversee the development of engaging content that enhances employee understanding and connection to corporate priorities, programs and initiatives.
• Create and execute strategy for elevating India senior leadership voices, priorities and achievements.
• Elevate Rise, Lead, Succeed culture and support visibility of key performance and culture drivers like salary planning, compensation/performance discussions, well-being programs, employee resource groups (i.e. AmnealWomen), ESG and corporate philanthropy, etc.
  

Multi-Channel Communication Execution

• Define and implement a robust channel strategy, ensuring key messages reach relevant stakeholders effectively via appropriate company channels, including Town Halls, Intranet, Poppulo (email distribution/metrics system), Amneal Pulse (biannual employee magazine), videos, blogs, social media, physical materials, and outreach to disconnected users.
  

Branding & Visual/Messaging Cohesion

• Ensure India’s communication materials and programs align with the company’s evolving brand identity.
• Educate stakeholders (including India Commercial teams) on brand guidelines to maintain consistency in messaging and visuals across all internal and external communications.
  

Media Relations & External Communications

• Working in partnership with the Senior Director, Corporate Communications – External, develop and maintain strong relationships with media outlets, journalists, and influencers to support elevated brand visibility in India.
• Act as the primary spokesperson, ensuring consistent, impactful, and aligned messaging.
• Manage crisis communication and reputation management strategies effectively.
  

Social Media Strategy & Employee Social Media Engagement

• Working in partnership with the Senior Director, Internal Communications and Social Media, support the global social media strategy through India-specific content development, employee engagement, training on social media best practices, and enforcement of brand governance.
  

Qualifications

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or related field.
• 14-20 years of experience in corporate communications, media relations, or public affairs.
• Proven leadership experience in developing and executing comprehensive communication strategies, particularly internal and media relations.
• Strong networking skills and established relationships within the Indian media landscape.
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
