Roles and Responsibilities :Develop the business model: Go deep, understand where opportunities are and create a viable business model to service the opportunitiesKnow the market: Stay on top of trends in an ever-changing landscape, find opportunities and prioritize based on size, internal capabilities, etcKnow the customer: Understand connected customer behavior, develop new customer insightsKnow the competition: Understand on-line and off-line players. React as and when necessary in an appropriate mannerInfluence the leadership: Convert strategies into action by liaising with cross-functional leadership and drive the changes requiredThink big - unlock value for consumers, Myntra Jabong and vendor partnersMerchandising And Sales Strategy
Own pricing strategy based on market potential, consumer insights, margins or competitive signalsDrive necessary category led promotionsIdentify the growth areas and new business scope within the existing categoryExpand selection, enable its discovery and ensure conversionRelationship Management
Lead the team to identify strategic partners and negotiate better terms of tradeCreate a comprehensive Vendor management strategy and governance frameworkPut in processes & metrics to scale the businessUse technology to scale operations and expand selectionWork with Supply Chain teams to ensure product availabilityCollaborative Partnership

MBA from Tier-1 B-School with 7 - 10 years of relevant experience in category managementExceptional analytical & problem solving skills, with attention to detail and ability to make data- backed decisionsSelf-directed focus and ability to prioritize within an ambiguous environmentAbility to execute and follow through on high-quality output, with limited oversightAbility to work with cross-functional teams and influence/rally/align them towards a common org/business goalStrong verbal & written communication skillsAbility to lead peopleRequired Skills
