Job Description

Deputy Chief Marketing Officer- FACOR

  • Location: Bhadrak, Odisha
  • Role reports to Chief Marketing Officer- FACOR and will be a key position in the MIP of Marketing.


Vedanta is a young company with $30 bn revenue and $10 bn profit organization and further plans to invest $20 bn in the expansion of brownfield and some greenfield capacity of Semiconductor, Display Glass, Oil-Gas, Zinc-Silver-Lead, Aluminium, Iron-Ore, Steel, Ferroalloys and Power. We have already invested $20 bn in Oil-Gas, around $20 bn in Aluminium, $20 bn in Zinc-Silver-Lead, $10 bn in copper and, $20 bn in Iron-Ore, Steel, Ferroalloys, Nickel, Port and others. ‘FACOR’ a unit of Vedanta Limited, is one of India’s leading producer and exporter of Ferro Chrome, an essential ingredient to produce stainless steel and specialty steels. It is a fully Integrated business of 150 KTPA Ferro-Chrome production capacity with 1.65 MTPA ROM Production along with 6 Own Mines and a 100 MW Power Plant. With 4X growth vision for Ferro Chrome production operating both at open cast and underground mines and 1.5 MTPA Capacity Chrome Ore Beneficiation Plant, the Organization provides exciting growth prospects for aspiring young leaders and high potentials to take up Significant Leadership roles.

The Successful Candidate:

  • Executing marketing strategies to ensure delivery of all business goals as per set targets for Sales and NSR maximization
  • Benchmark with the best-in-class peers and ensuring right product mix, marketing, pricing, communication and optimized geographical distribution strategy
  • Maximize Domestic market share and wallet share with end-users with right mix of LTC, STC and spot sales and develop Domestic and Export market expansion strategies
  • Exploration of new value-added products by interacting with operations and creating a roadmap for new market development
  • Leverage digitalization, technology to create customer delight in terms of experience/ complaints etc and establish and maintain customer relations to support the overall marketing plan
  • Completely adhere to Cardinal Principles of Sales and Marketing.
  • Responsible for ensuring highest order of governance, ethics, compliance, and transparent reporting and managing business risk in the function.
