What You’ll Do (Key Responsibilities)

Delivery & Execution

• Plan projects, manage resources and timelines, eventually aligning teams to common goal for better delivery.
• Take shared responsibility with the team for delivering features, improvements, and fixes on time and with quality.
• Anticipate risks and blockers early, and drive collaborative solutions.
• Facilitate sprint planning, reviews, and retros to keep momentum and alignment.
• Ensure balance between fast delivery and technical quality.
  

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Act as the bridge between business and developers — communicating clearly, managing expectations, and flagging risks proactively.
• Partner with Product Owners, QA, and Business teams to ensure smooth communication and alignment.
• Translate business needs into clear technical priorities without diluting vision.
• Ensure transparency in communication and realistic expectations on timelines.
  

Process & Culture

• Champion agile practices, continuous delivery, and lean development.
• Build a culture of ownership, collaboration, and accountability.
• Ensure the team has clarity, focus, and motivation to deliver impact.
  

Technical Ownership

• Contribute technical insights and direction when needed, ensuring scalable, maintainable solutions.
• Support code reviews, testing practices, and engineering excellence as a peer.
• Continuously refine workflows to make the team more productive and efficient.
• Stay ahead of emerging tech to help evolve our stack (Node.js, React, MongoDB, MeteorJS, React Native).
  

Leadership & Team Management

• Work alongside developers to ensure clarity of goals, priorities, and expected outcomes.
• Help the team stay accountable to KRAs and KPIs through transparency, not top-down control.
• Foster a culture of urgency, ownership, and high performance.
• Encourage learning, mentoring, and peer support across the team.
  

What We’re Looking For

• Proven experience working with engineering teams (2–5 years in a leadership/managerial role preferred).
• Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and communication skills.
• Ability to drive delivery outcomes without compromising technical quality.
• Strong sense of ownership, urgency, and commitment to results.
• Strong background as a full-stack engineer — expertise in Node.js, React, MongoDB (MeteorJS & React Native are a big plus).
