EY Power Automate Lead

As part of our GDS Consulting team, you will be part of the No Code Low Code (NCLC) team within Digital Engineering. You will be working on latest Microsoft Power Platform technologies specifically on Power Automate Desktop / Power Automate Cloud and will collaborate with other teams within Consulting services.

The opportunity

We’re looking for resources with expertise in Power Automate Desktop & Power Automate Cloud to join the group of our Microsoft Power Platform team. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a leading firm whilst being instrumental in the growth of our service offering.

Your key responsibilities

• Lead the design and development of solutions using Intelligent Automation technologies, including Power Automate Desktop (PAD) & Power Automate cloud
• Ability to work with custom connectors, plugins, REST APIs, and JSON
• Experience with integration of data from multiple data sources like Azure SQL, SQL Server, SAP, Service Now etc.
• Strong understanding of automating web-based applications, data extraction, form handling, and integrating automated tasks into broader workflows using Microsoft Power Platform components.
• Integrate AI-driven features like Copilot to augment solution capabilities and deliver intelligent business insights.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into scalable, efficient technical solutions.
• Ensure the solutions meet performance, scalability, and security requirements.
• Lead the technical team as part of project delivery, provide mentorship and technical guidance to team members.
• Understand and analyse business requirements by working with various stakeholders and create the appropriate information architecture and solution approach.
• Monitor, support, and maintenance of RPA BOTs.
• Collaborate with other RPA experts to explore solutions, adapt and share best practice.
• Automate repetitive tasks across Excel, SharePoint, SAP, web apps, and legacy systems. Build reusable components and templates to standardize automation.
• Schedule and monitor unattended bot run via Power Platform or self-hosted infrastructure.
• Conduct UAT and resolve production issues promptly.
• Maintain documentation for developed flows and process logic
• Understand and analyse functional requirements. Take full responsibility for the complete lifecycle of an application from analysis to final deployment.

Skills and attributes for success

• Power Automate Desktop (PAD): Proficiency in designing and implementing flows with UI automation, file operations, browser automation, Excel scripting, etc.
• Power Automate (Cloud): Extensive experience in automating complex business processes using Power Automate. Experience in integrating desktop flows with cloud flows.
• Should have knowledge on Microsoft Power Platform: Understanding of Power Apps, Power BI, Dataverse.
• Looking for a results-driven professional with hands-on experience in Process Mining and Microsoft Process Advisor to lead and support automation discovery initiatives within the Power Platform ecosystem.
• Excel Automation: Scripting, formulas, pivot tables, and macros.
• Windows Scripting: PowerShell, VBScript knowledge is a plus.
• Process Design: Ability to analyse business processes for automation feasibility.
• Good to have knowledge on RPA, specifically UiPath, Automation Anywhere and Blue Prism.
• Hands on experience in programming languages such as C#, VB.Net and Python especially in Natural Language Processing.
• Experience integrating AI features like Copilot to drive automation and improve user experience.
• Strong understanding of Power Platform architecture, security, and governance best practices.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to tackle complex technical challenges.
• Strong interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with clients, stakeholders, and team members.
• Certifications (Preferred):
  • PL-500: Microsoft Power Automate RPA Developer Associate
  • PL-600: Microsoft Power Platform Solution Architect
  • PL-900: Microsoft Power Platform Fundamentals
  • Having Solutions Architect Certification on any RPA Tools like Power Automate Desktop, Blue Prism, UiPath and AA360 is preferred.

To qualify for the role, you must have

• A bachelor's or master's degree
• A minimum of 3.5-8 years of experience, preferably background in a professional services firm.
• Excellent communication skills with consulting experience preferred

Ideally, you’ll also have

• Analytical ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks into manageable work products.
• Can operate independently or with minimum supervision
