Job Title : Database Developer Experience Required : 5 - 7 Years Location : Kolkata Employment Type : Full-Time Role Summary We are seeking a skilled and experienced Database Developer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in designing, implementing, and managing databases on Azure Cloud platforms. This role involves developing optimized SQL queries, handling data integration, and ensuring high availability, performance, and security of database systems. Key Responsibilities Database Design and Development : Design and implement scalable database schemas, tables, views, stored procedures, and triggers. Develop, test, and optimize SQL queries and scripts for data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL). Azure Cloud Database Management : Manage and maintain Azure SQL Database, Azure Cosmos DB, and related Azure cloud data services. Monitor and configure database instances for optimal performance and high availability. Enforce database security practices including access control, encryption, and compliance protocols. Performance Tuning and Optimization : Conduct regular performance tuning to enhance query execution and system efficiency. Troubleshoot and resolve database-related performance issues proactively. Data Integration and Migration : Design and implement data migration strategies from on-premise to Azure cloud databases. Integrate data from varied sources including APIs, flat files, and other relational systems. Backup and Recovery : Develop, implement, and monitor backup and disaster recovery strategies. Perform routine maintenance tasks including database patching and updates. Preferred Skills 5+ years of hands-on experience as a Database Developer. Expertise in Azure SQL Database, Azure Cosmos DB, and related cloud-based database services. Proficiency in SQL programming and advanced database design principles. Experience with ETL processes and tools, especially Azure Data Factory. Familiarity with cloud security concepts and best practices in database security. Strong knowledge of database performance tuning techniques. Experience with version control systems like Git.
