You will engage with end-users and business stakeholders to understand requirements and translate business needs into effective visual and analytical solutions. You will apply best practices in data visualization and advanced analytics, manage data pre-processing workflows, and optimize dashboard performance using tools like Tableau, Sigma, and Databricks Dashboards. You will also develop financial applications and analytics solutions, utilizing ETL platforms and scripting languages for data extraction and transformation. Your role will involve handling multiple projects concurrently, managing user permissions, and fostering collaboration across cross-functional teams.
Job Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain interactive dashboards and visualizations to support business decision-making, leveraging large datasets to generate actionable insights.
- Engage with end-users and business stakeholders to understand requirements, conduct design discovery meetings, and translate business needs into effective visual and analytical solutions.
- Apply best practices in data visualization and advanced analytics, ensuring clarity, accuracy, and user engagement.
- Manage and implement data pre-processing workflows, including data cleaning, transformation, validation, and management of complex data structures to ensure high-quality inputs for visualizations and analytics.
- Optimize dashboard performance, load times, and extract refresh cycles, utilizing advanced features and concepts in Tableau, Sigma, Databricks Dashboards, and other emerging visualization tools.
- Develop financial applications and analytics solutions, supporting business decision-making through quantitative analysis and innovative workflow solutions.
- Utilize ETL platforms (such as Alteryx) and scripting languages (SQL, Python, R) for data extraction, transformation, and pre-processing.
- Handle multiple research, analytics, and visualization projects concurrently, often under tight deadlines and with minimal supervision.
- Manage user permissions, connection types, and extract/hyper refresh strategies in Tableau, while ensuring adherence to data management best practices.
- Maintain outstanding written and verbal communication skills, fostering collaboration, knowledge sharing, and an inclusive, diverse work environment across cross-functional and geographically dispersed teams.
- Demonstrate a strong customer-centric mindset and storytelling ability to communicate insights through visuals and analytics, while continuously identifying opportunities for process improvement and innovative solutions.
Required Qualifications, Capabilities And Skills
- Requires 5+ years of relevant experience, with a bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field and 3+ years in advanced analytics within large data environments; master’s degree.
- Demonstrates proficiency in Tableau/Sigma (3+ years) and ETL tools (1+ years), with strong knowledge of data management systems and processes.
- Applies advanced SQL and scripting (Python/R) for data extraction, transformation, and analysis.
- Responsible for managing and working with large databases, understanding various data structures, and applying common data transformation and validation methods.
- Must exhibit strong attention to detail, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
- Operates effectively in Agile, fast-paced, and dynamic environments, often with minimal supervision.
- Communicates complex analytical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
