About the Role

We’re looking for a skilled Data Engineer to join our growing data team at AEWEE.

What You’ll Do

• Design, develop, and maintain robust data pipelines using Azure Data Factory, Databricks, PySpark and AWS.

• Build and optimize ETL/ELT workflows to support data analytics and reporting needs.

• Work with large-scale data processing and transformation in the Azure cloud environment.

• Develop and maintain data models, ensuring quality, consistency, and integrity.

• Collaborate with data analysts, scientists, and business teams to deliver end-to-end data solutions.

• Optimize SQL queries and database performance for analytical workloads.

• Implement data governance, security, and best practices across data workflows.

• Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, and process improvement initiatives.

What We’re Looking For

Required:

✅ 2–4 years of hands-on experience in Data Engineering

✅ Strong proficiency in PySpark and Databricks and ETL tools.

✅ Experience with Microsoft Azure data services (Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Lake, Azure Synapse, or similar)

✅ Advanced SQL skills for data manipulation and optimization

✅ Strong knowledge of ETL/ELT development and data pipeline orchestration

✅ Understanding of data warehousing concepts and modern data architectures

✅ Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills

Nice to Have:

• Experience with Azure Synapse Analytics or Microsoft Fabric

• Familiarity with AWS or Google Cloud Platform

• Working knowledge of Python for data processing

• Experience with Delta Lake and Medallion architecture

• Knowledge of CI/CD practices for data pipelines

• Experience with Power BI or other visualization tools

• Cloud certifications (Azure Data Engineer Associate, Databricks, or AWS Certified)
