Job Summary

Data Analyst (Offshore)

mandatory experience in IBM UDMH and healthcare data environments

• Collaborate with Data Modelers to develop and maintain conceptual, logical, and physical data models aligned with IBM Unified Data Model for Healthcare (UDMH).
• Extend and customize IBM UDMH models to meet Ascension’s specific business and technical requirements.
• Ensure alignment with enterprise data modeling standards and naming conventions.
  

• Perform comprehensive data profiling and analysis across healthcare source systems including Epic, Cerner, Athena, and Oracle FDI.
• Assess data granularity, data quality, data volume, and data refresh frequency.
• Identify data gaps, anomalies, and integration challenges to support downstream analytics and reporting.
  

• Create and maintain source-to-target (S2T) mapping documents.
• Develop and document end-to-end data lineage to support transparency and governance.
• Document metadata and ensure compliance with data governance protocols.
  

• Work closely with cross-functional teams including business users, data engineers, architects, and analysts to gather requirements and define subject-area data models.
• Maintain detailed technical and functional documentation for data assets and processes.
• Support ongoing data governance and stewardship initiatives.
  

• Use ER/Studio, ERwin, and PowerDesigner for data modeling and analysis.
• Leverage SQL, Python, and Unix for ETL scripting, data extraction, and data transformation activities.
• Work with modern data platforms including Snowflake, Hadoop, Spark, and cloud environments such as AWS and Azure.
  

• Hands-on experience with IBM UDMH is mandatory.
• Strong healthcare domain experience is mandatory, including working with healthcare data systems and models.
  

Required Skills & Experience

• Proven experience as a Data Analyst in large-scale healthcare data environments.
• Strong understanding of data modeling concepts, healthcare data structures, and enterprise data standards.
• Expertise in data profiling, mapping, lineage, and documentation.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting enterprise healthcare organizations and large EHR systems.
• Familiarity with cloud-based and big data ecosystems.
• Exposure to data governance frameworks and best practices.
