About This Opportunity

Primary purpose of the Sr. Data Analyst role is to leverage existing data systems (MS SQL Server, SSAS, IBM Cognos TM1, Data Lake), applying data mining techniques, performing statistical analysis, and building high quality prediction models in support of the organization’s key strategic initiatives.

Location: Bangalore

Responsibilities

• Build machine learning/ statistical models to provide proactive and predictive decision support on key initiatives.
• Use Python, R, SQL to mine the data required for observing objective, quantifiable relationships between the features selected as well as identifying new business opportunities from it.
• Development, management, and maintenance of models to assist company in forecasting, predicting, and providing recommendations toward key strategic initiatives
• Build workflows and schedule jobs for measuring KPIs that affect business.
• Verify effectiveness of new initiatives based on hypothesis testing.
• Preparation of various ad hoc analyses or models to evaluate economic implications of new programs and initiatives to help the team make business decisions impacting at a program level.
• Modelling and analysis of large data sets to provide concrete insights as well as to accurately predict trends.
• Testing of DB Application through test cases, test plans and user acceptance criteria to validate sales trends and market segmentation.
• Support experimentation design and analysis to estimate causal impact of new programs
• Work cross functionally to support the analytical requirements of the business and proactively challenge the status quo by introducing new scientific/econometric approaches for analysis and insights
• Regular interaction with the HQ to communicate and gain alignment of analysis, methodology and assumptions

Educational Experience:

• Bachelors/4 Year Degree (or equivalent experience) in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science or another quantitative field
• 2 – 4 Years of experience with applied statistics and application of testing methods (predictive modeling, experimentation, data mining, t-test, AB Test etc.)
• Advanced modeling skills with Python, R, and SQL.
• Experience with applied statistics and application of testing methods (predictive modeling, experimentation, data mining, t-test, anova, AB Test etc.)
• Expertise in handling and maintaining large databases to extract and organize the required datasets for use in computational analysis.

Required Skills

• Data Analysis & Insights:

  Ability to extract meaningful insights from raw data.

• Statistics & Probability:

  Good foundation in statistical methods for data interpretation.

• Data Visualization:

  Proficiency in presenting data effectively using charts, dashboards, and reports.

• Machine Learning:

  Experience with

  Regression, Clustering, and Classification

  techniques.

• Forecasting:

  Ability to build predictive models for trend analysis and business forecasting.

• A/B Testing:

  Understanding of experimental design and hypothesis testing.

• DAX (Data Analysis Expressions):

  Strong skills in writing DAX queries for Power BI.

• Power BI:

  Experience in developing interactive dashboards and reports.

• Python:

  Proficiency in

  Exploratory Data Analysis (EDA)

  and data manipulation using libraries like Pandas, NumPy, and Matplotlib.
