Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated Cybersecurity Intern or Fresher to join our IT Security team in Rishikesh. This role is ideal for recent graduates or early-career professionals with foundational knowledge in cybersecurity, particularly in managing in-house security systems and SaaS software security. You will assist in protecting our digital assets, ensuring compliance with industry standards, and contributing to a secure financial environment. This position offers hands-on experience in a dynamic setting, with opportunities for growth into full-time roles.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in monitoring and managing in-house security infrastructure, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems (IDS), and endpoint protection tools.
• Support the configuration and maintenance of SaaS platforms' security features, such as access controls, encryption, and multi-factor authentication (MFA).
• Conduct basic vulnerability assessments and scans on internal networks and cloud-based applications.
• Help in implementing security policies, procedures, and best practices to mitigate risks associated with data breaches and cyber threats.
• Collaborate with the IT team to respond to security incidents, perform root cause analysis, and document findings.
• Participate in user awareness training programs on cybersecurity hygiene, phishing prevention, and safe SaaS usage.
• Assist in compliance audits related to financial regulations (e.g., RBI guidelines, ISO 27001) and data protection laws (e.g., DPDP Act).
• Stay updated on emerging cybersecurity trends, tools, and threats relevant to the financial sector.
• Provide support for secure integration of third-party SaaS tools into our ecosystem.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field (or pursuing final year).
• Basic understanding of cybersecurity fundamentals, including network security, encryption, and threat modeling.
• Familiarity with in-house security tools (e.g., firewalls, antivirus software) and SaaS security (e.g., for platforms like Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, or financial SaaS like QuickBooks).
• Knowledge of common security frameworks and standards (e.g., NIST, OWASP).
• Hands-on experience through academic projects, certifications, or personal initiatives in areas like ethical hacking, penetration testing, or secure coding.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills for documenting procedures and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
• Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CEH (Certified Ethical Hacker), or equivalent entry-level credentials.
• Experience with tools like Wireshark, Nmap, or cloud security platforms (e.g., AWS Security Hub, Azure Sentinel).
• Understanding of financial industry-specific security challenges, such as protecting sensitive client data.
• Willingness to learn advanced topics like zero-trust architecture or AI-driven threat detection.

Pay: ₹10,000.00 - ₹15,000.00 per month
