EXPERIENCE : 3+ years Roles & Responsibilities Develop, enhance, and maintain applications using RPG (RPGLE, RPG/400), CL, and SQL on the IBM AS400/iSeries platform. Analyze business requirements and translate them into technical specifications. Design, code, test, debug, and document AS400-based applications. Perform troubleshooting, debugging, and performance tuning of existing applications. Develop and maintain APIs, data interfaces, and integration solutions with other systems. Ensure security, compliance, and data integrity standards are met. Work closely with business analysts, project managers, and other IT teams to deliver solutions on time. Provide support and maintenance for production applications, ensuring minimal downtime. Stay updated with industry trends and advancements in AS400 and RPG development. Required Skills And Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. 3+ years of experience in AS400 development, including RPG (RPGLE, RPG/400), CL, and SQL. Strong knowledge of DB2 databases and query optimization. Experience with ILE concepts, modular programming, and service programs. Familiarity with AS400 tools such as Query/400, SDA, PDM, SEU, and RLU. Knowledge of AS400 security, system operations, and performance tuning. Experience with APIs, web services, and modern integration techniques is a plus. Strong problem-solving, analytical, and debugging skills. Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment. Excellent communication and documentation skills. Experience in modernizing legacy AS400 applications.
