The Team Lead Admission Counselor is responsible for overseeing and coordinating the admissions process within the institution. They lead a team of admission counsellors, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure that prospective students have a positive and seamless experience throughout the admissions process. Key Responsibilities: Team Leadership: Supervise and mentor a team of admission counsellors. Provide guidance, training, and ongoing support to ensure team members perform effectively. Monitor and evaluate team performance, providing feedback and implementing improvement strategies. Admissions Process Management: Manage and streamline the admissions process, from initial inquiries to enrollment. Ensure that all admission documents and records are accurately maintained and organised. Collaborate with other departments, such as academic affairs and finance, to ensure a smooth transition for admitted students. Student Counselling: Assist prospective students and their families with inquiries about the institution's programs, admissions requirements, and financial aid options. Conduct individual and group counselling sessions to help students make informed decisions about their educational goals. Address concerns or issues related to the admissions process. Data Analysis and Reporting: Collect and analyse data related to admissions trends and enrollment projections. Prepare regular reports for senior management with insights and recommendations to optimise the admissions process. Compliance and Regulations: Stay updated on relevant educational regulations and compliance requirements. Ensure that the admissions process adheres to all applicable laws and institutional policies. Customer Service: Maintain a high level of professionalism and customer service when interacting with prospective students and their families. Handle escalated issues and complaints with diplomacy and efficiency. Collaboration: Collaborate with marketing and recruitment teams to develop and implement effective marketing strategies and campaigns. Work closely with academic departments to align admissions processes with program requirements. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in a related field (Education, Counseling, or Business Administration preferred). Previous experience in the admissions department or a related field. Strong leadership and team management skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Knowledge of educational programs, admissions policies, and financial aid options. Familiarity with relevant software and databases for managing admissions records. Ability to work independently and in a team, with a strong focus on customer service.
