WinZO is pioneering transmedia for India. Transmedia, a popular phenomenon in the West, is the practice of telling a single story or narrative across multiple media platforms, such as comics, films, television shows, books, video games, and online content. The Marvel Cinematic Universe exemplifies this, utilising comics, movies, and games to narrate interconnected stories within a single, coherent universe. Similarly, Arcane, a Netflix animated series from Riot Games and Fortiche Production, is a critical and cultural phenomenon based on the League of Legends esports game. However, this phenomenon has been limited to western content, and our aim is to build this experience in India for culturally relevant and vernacular content. But WinZO, through games and microdramas,is on the path to popularize transmedia in India.

About the Role:

As a Creative Scriptwriter at WinZO TV, you will be the driving force behind storytelling that converts. You’ll craft high-impact ad scripts for performance campaigns across platforms like Meta, YouTube, and programmatic video. Your role goes beyond writing, you’ll decode what makes viewers stop, watch, and act. You’ll draw inspiration from trending ads, weave emotional hooks, and translate those into crisp, production-ready scripts for designers, editors, and voice actors to bring to life.

This is a creative-meets-analytical role where you’ll own the journey, from concept to campaign ensuring every ad not only entertains but performs.


What you will do:

Creative Concepting & Scriptwriting:

  • Develop compelling ad narratives and microdrama-style scripts (short ads) optimized for attention and conversion.
  • Research and deconstruct top-performing ads across drama, OTT, vertical Entertainment & Short story apps,to identify winning creative elements.
  • Transform consumer insights into emotionally engaging, relatable stories with viral potential.

Performance Marketing Alignment:

  • Develop scripts tailored for performance channels (Meta, Google, YouTube) ensuring a clear hook, relatable tension, and satisfying payoff.
  • Collaborate with marketing managers to understand KPIs, target audience psychology, and creative hypotheses.
  • Continuously test, learn, and refine storytelling structures to improve CTRs, installs, and ROAS.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

  • Partner with video editors, designers, and directors to convert scripts into high-quality ad creatives.
  • Own end-to-end creative production: from ideation and briefing to delivery and performance review.
  • Coordinate across creative, marketing, and design teams to ensure seamless execution of campaigns.

Creative Research & Trendspotting:

  • Stay ahead of digital storytelling trends, meme cultures, and short-form content formats.
  • Build a repository of ad references, moodboards, and script frameworks to scale creative output.


What you should have:

  • 1+ years of experience in ad copywriting, UGC scripting, or creative content writing - ideally for performance marketing or storytelling apps (e.g., Microdrama, OTT,digital streaming)
  • Strong understanding of digital storytelling - hooks, pacing, emotion, and payoff structures.
  • Proven ability to analyze and remix best-performing ads into fresh, high-performing scripts.
  • Exceptional writing and visual storytelling skills with a flair for crafting narratives that resonate with Indian audiences.
  • Ability to manage multiple creative projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  • Analytical mindset - capable of interpreting performance data and adapting creative strategy accordingly.
  • Strong communication and coordination skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Bonus: Familiarity with creative testing frameworks or A/B experiments in performance marketing.

  • Scripting & Writing:

    Google Docs, Notion, or similar tools.
  • Creative Collaboration:

    Figma, Trello, AI Video and Audio Generative tools etc.
  • Research & Inspiration:

    Meta Ad Library, YouTube Ads, Online Creative Analytics tools.
