Role & responsibilities

As Country Manager for India, you will be the visionary and execution-oriented leader responsible for transforming our presence in this dynamic market. With a mission to grow the revenue for the area 10x strategic mission in mind and uphold brand principles of mastery, excellence, and love, youll be the driving force behind the countrys growth story.

You will establish brand as the undisputed leader in the Indian luxury home market, achieving revenue growth by strategically expanding our retail presence, cultivating strong brand awareness among affluent consumers, and delivering an unparalleled customer experience.

You will lead and ensure the profit and growth for our ventures in India, be responsible for existing sales pipeline and develop new business opportunities.

Your main focus will be:

  • Maintain and develop existing partners and grow their business, together with them.
  • Connecting with investors to open new partnership stores.
  • Leading and growing our Business Developer Team in India, as the business grows.
  • Identify partners needs, building a short/medium/long-term business action plan in accordance with targets.
  • Assist and implement marketing strategies and delegate tasks to achieve the strategic goals of the company.

Primary responsibilities

Sales and Business Development:

  • Lead a team of Business Developers to achieve and exceed sales targets
  • Collaborate with partners to identify new locations for stores and support the opening of new outlets.
  • Work closely with the team to ensure the success and profitability of existing stores.

Team Leadership:

  • Provide strong leadership to the Business Development team, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and excellence.
  • Motivate and guide the team to drive sales, build strong relationships with partners, and achieve business goals.

Partner Engagement:

  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with investors and partners to ensure alignment
  • Collaborate with partners to strategize and execute plans for the growth of stores in India.

Market Analysis:

  • Stay informed about market trends, competitor activities, and customer preferences to drive informed decision-making.
  • Use market insights to develop and adjust sales strategies for optimal performance.

Operational Support:

  • Collaborate with internal teams to provide operational support to stores, ensuring compliance with brand standards.
  • Work with partners to resolve operational challenges and optimize store performance.

Performance Metrics:

  • Define and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of sales and business development efforts.
  • Regularly report on the team's performance and provide recommendations for improvement.
  • Ensure performance on important KPIs, including payment aging, stock aging, customer service errands, order errands, and customer response time.

Budget Management:

  • Collaborate with the finance department to develop and manage budgets for sales and business development activities.
  • Ensure cost-effectiveness and efficiency in all operations related to sales and business expansion.

Preferred candidate profile

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Sales, Marketing, or a related field. An MBA, a double education architect/designer and bachelor/MBA in business development, international business, sales, marketing is an advantage.
  • 15+ years sales experience in wholesale and retail, preferably with luxury products.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and manage a diverse team.
  • Experience in growing a premium/luxury retail/wholesale of international/European well-known brand.
  • Strong network and great relations from sales of premium products or solutions within home/decoration/well-being/hospitality/automotive/luxury goods e.g.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of the Indian market and business landscape.
  • Experience in franchise or partnership management is desirable.
  • Connected with HNWI and UHNWIs, and the HENRYs is an advantage.
  • Well connected with top tier architects/designers/ marketing agencies is an advantage.
