Corporate Lawyer

As a Corporate Lawyer at our esteemed client in the FMCG sector, your role will involve providing expert legal counsel on various corporate matters to support the company's strategic business objectives and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements. Your responsibilities will include: - Advising on corporate governance to ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements at local, national, and international levels. - Providing legal expertise on mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, and other corporate transactions, ensuring due diligence processes and contracts are structured in the company's best interests. - Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating various contracts such as supply agreements, distribution contracts, manufacturing agreements, and commercial leases. - Monitoring and advising on intellectual property rights, including trademarks, patents, and copyrights related to product packaging and branding. - Offering legal guidance on consumer protection regulations, data privacy, and other legal aspects affecting product sales, marketing, and distribution. - Supporting the Human Resources department with employment law issues, including employee contracts, terminations, and disputes. - Liaising with external legal firms, managing legal budgets and costs, and assisting in the development of internal policies and procedures for legal compliance. To excel in this role, you should have a Law degree (LLB or equivalent) from a reputable institution and 2-6 years of experience as a Corporate Lawyer, preferably in the FMCG or consumer goods sector. Strong knowledge of corporate governance, M&A, commercial contracts, intellectual property, and FMCG-specific regulations is essential. You should possess excellent negotiation, drafting, and communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex legal issues to non-legal stakeholders effectively. Strategic thinking, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail are crucial for success in this role. The working hours for this position are from 9:30 AM to 7:30 PM, Monday to Saturday.,
