We are currently seeking applications for the role of Management Trainee, Sourcing. In this role, you will be responsible for creating requests for proposals (RFP) and reviewing bids to analyze costs between vendors in order to procure the best products for the organization. Your duties will also include creating contract terms and conditions, negotiating terms, and implementing services. Your responsibilities will include driving supplier performance, managing demand, increasing category compliance, and contributing to overall priorities in alignment with defined yearly objectives. You will estimate and propose initiatives to deliver savings within your area of responsibility, identify additional opportunities, and ensure sourcing category deliverables, savings commitments, milestones, and obligations are met. Additionally, you will liaise with coordinators and team members to resolve vendor disputes, prepare management information system (MIS) reports, and manage budget vs. actual spend with the finance team. To excel in this role, you must possess a graduation degree in Science, Commerce, or Business, along with relevant years of experience in Sourcing/Category Management in Manufacturing/BPO industries. Strong verbal and written communication skills, proficiency in MS Office applications, a good understanding of indirect spend categories, customer-centric focus, analytical and presentation skills, negotiation skills, and a proactive attitude are essential qualifications. Knowledge of SAP, Oracle, or other legacy ERP applications, exposure to global suppliers, proficiency in RFI/RFP/RFQ management, and basic understanding of spend analysis and contracts drafting are preferred skills.
