Copy Lead

strategic thinking, conceptual leadership, and people management



What You Will Own

1. Creative Leadership & Idea Development

  • Lead conceptual thinking for integrated campaigns across mainline, digital, social, and on-ground activations.
  • Translate briefs into strong creative platforms with clear storytelling and POV.
  • Collaborate with art, design, strategy, media, and production teams to build breakthrough ideas.
  • Push work beyond the obvious while staying rooted in business objectives.


2. Copywriting Excellence

  • Write and oversee high-quality copy across formats, including:
  • Films and scripts
  • Social and digital campaigns
  • Brand narratives and platforms
  • Print, OOH, and experiential communication
  • Maintain exceptional standards of language, tone, clarity, and messaging consistency.
  • Ensure attention to detail from headline to final execution.


3. Brand Stewardship

  • Deeply understand brand voices and guard them across all touch points.
  • Guide clients strategically and creatively, presenting ideas with clarity and conviction.
  • Build insight-led narratives that strengthen long-term brand equity.


4. Team Leadership & Mentorship

  • Lead, mentor, and groom junior and mid-level copywriters.
  • Review, refine, and elevate all outgoing copy.
  • Create a culture of collaboration, curiosity, and creative ambition within the team.


5. Collaboration & Cross-Functional Alignment

  • Partner with client servicing to translate business objectives into impactful communication.
  • Work with strategy teams to convert insights into compelling narratives.
  • Ensure seamless integration across copy, design, media, and production.


6. Creative Growth & Excellence

  • Encourage experimentation and fresh thinking across the team.
  • Introduce new storytelling formats, writing styles, and narrative approaches.
  • Push work towards industry benchmarks, awards, and excellence standards.
  • Support the Creative Director in raising the overall creative bar of the group.


What You Bring

  • 7–10 years of experience as a copywriter in a creative or advertising agency.
  • Proven ability to lead creative thinking and manage copy teams.
  • Strong

    brief mastery

    quickly decoding insights and translating them into ideas.
  • Demonstrated

    conceptual thinking

    with work that scales across 360° touch points.
  • Excellent command over storytelling, tonality, and brand voice.
  • Cross-channel fluency across social, digital, offline, and experiential formats.
  • A strong portfolio showcasing idea-led, integrated campaigns.
  • Confidence in pitching ideas and influencing both internal teams and clients.
  • A mindset rooted in ownership, collaboration, curiosity, and continuous improvement.
