As a Contract Manager in our company, your role will involve various key responsibilities: - Contract Lifecycle Management: You will be responsible for drafting, evaluating, negotiating, and executing contracts, as well as managing their close-out, extension, or renewal. - Compliance and Risk Management: Ensuring that contracts meet legal requirements and organizational goals, monitoring performance, and mitigating risks will be a crucial aspect of your role. - Stakeholder Coordination: Serving as the main point of contact for all parties involved, you will coordinate with clients, engineers, and contractors to ensure that project goals are met. - Project Oversight: You will develop project plans, monitor progress, and ensure adherence to contract specifications for civil works such as roads, bridges, and water systems. - Financial and Performance Monitoring: Tracking project costs, ensuring effective cost management, and preparing reports on contract performance will be part of your responsibilities. - Dispute Resolution: Handling and resolving contract-related issues and disputes, promoting harmonious negotiations between parties will be essential. In terms of qualifications and skills required for this role: - Education: A higher professional or university degree in civil engineering, construction, or a related field is often preferred. - Legal Knowledge: Familiarity with legal principles and contract law is essential. - Technical Skills: A background in civil engineering, construction, and knowledge of specific contract management standards (e.g., UAV, RAW) is highly beneficial. - Soft Skills: Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills are critical for coordinating with various stakeholders.
