AEO & SEO Content Writer

Position Overview

AEO & SEO Content Writer


Key Responsibilities


Content Creation

  • Write, edit, and publish AEO & SEO-optimized blog posts, website pages, product descriptions, press releases, and social media content.
  • Develop content that aligns with brand voice and target audience preferences.
  • Repurpose existing content into multiple formats (articles, FAQs, snippets, captions, etc.) to maximize reach.


SEO Strategy

  • Perform keyword research using tools such as Google Keyword Planner, SEMrush, Ahrefs, or Ubersuggest.
  • Create content strategies focused on high-intent and long-tail keywords.
  • Ensure all content complies with on-page SEO practices (meta tags, headings, internal linking, schema, alt text).
  • Optimize content for

    voice search and AI overview results

    .


Content Optimization

  • Audit and update existing website content for improved ranking and readability.
  • Implement strategies for Answer Engine Optimization (AEO), featured snippets, and rich results.
  • Track and analyze content performance through Google Analytics, Search Console, and other SEO tools.


Collaboration

  • Work closely with designers, developers, and digital marketers to align content with broader marketing campaigns.
  • Collaborate with the social media team to create shareable content that drives engagement.
  • Coordinate with clients/stakeholders to understand content needs and goals.


Requirements

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in English, Journalism, Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
  • Proven work experience (1–3 years minimum) as an SEO content writer, copywriter, or digital content specialist.


Technical Skills

  • Strong knowledge of

    SEO, AEO, and content marketing strategies

    .
  • Familiarity with

    WordPress or CMS platforms

    .
  • Proficiency in keyword research and SEO tools (Google Analytics, SEMrush, Ahrefs, Screaming Frog, SurferSEO, etc.).
  • Understanding of

    EEAT guidelines (Expertise, Experience, Authoritativeness, Trustworthiness)

    for SEO content.


Core Competencies

  • Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills with a keen eye for detail.
  • Ability to adapt writing style for different industries and audiences.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple projects.
  • Creative thinker with the ability to produce unique, engaging, and conversion-oriented content.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with

    content automation and AI writing tools

    (while maintaining originality).
  • Knowledge of

    technical SEO basics

    such as sitemaps, robots.txt, and Core Web Vitals.
  • Understanding of

    local SEO

    strategies (Google Business Profile optimization, location-based content).
  • Basic knowledge of HTML/CSS is a plus.

  • Growth in organic traffic and keyword rankings.
  • Increase in engagement metrics (CTR, dwell time, lower bounce rate).
  • Content indexed and appearing in AI search/featured snippets.
