Job Description – Workday Consultant
Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Workday Consultant with end-to-end expertise in configuring Workday tenants from scratch and managing core security, integration, and reporting functions. The consultant will work closely with stakeholders to design, implement, and maintain Workday HCM configurations while ensuring data security, reporting accuracy, and seamless user experience.
Key Responsibilities
Configure a Workday tenant from scratch, including foundational setup and module-specific configurations.
Create, configure, and manage Integration System Users (ISUs) to support integrations and automated processes.
Define, configure, and maintain security groups, roles, and permissions in alignment with organizational policies.
Develop, manage, and optimize Workday RaaS (Report-as-a-Service) reports for operational and analytical needs.
Gather business requirements and translate them into Workday configurations and workflows.
Manage functional setup for core HCM components (e.g., organizations, staffing models, compensation, business processes).
Conduct impact analysis, testing, and troubleshooting for Workday configuration changes.
Provide user training, documentation, and post-implementation support.
Collaborate with integration teams to ensure secure and efficient data exchange between Workday and third-party systems.
Ensure compliance with security, privacy, and data protection regulations.
Required Skills & Experience
4–6 years of hands-on Workday configuration experience, including tenant build from scratch.
Proven expertise in ISU user creation and management for integrations.
Strong knowledge of security group design, domain permissions, and business process security policies.
Proficiency in Workday RaaS reporting, calculated fields, and custom report creation.
Hands-on experience in at least two of the following: Core HCM, Compensation, Recruiting, Absence, Benefits, or Payroll.
Strong understanding of Workday business process frameworks and security architecture.
Experience in end-to-end testing, change control, and deployment management in Workday.
Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and documentation skills.
Nice-to-Have Skills
Workday certifications in relevant modules (Core HCM, Security, Reporting).
Experience with Workday Studio or EIB integrations.
Familiarity with compliance frameworks for HR data (GDPR, SOC 2, etc.).
