Job Description

Overview

Quality Engineering Lead (6+ years of experience)

Responsibilities

Lead the definition, design, and implementation of
test strategies, frameworks, and practices
for enterprise-scale solutions.
Oversee
manual and automated testing
across frontend and backend components.
Drive
test automation
initiatives using open-source tools such as
Selenium
(UI) and
REST Assured
(API).
Ensure comprehensive coverage of testing in
cloud-based environments (AWS EC2, S3, Lambda, CloudWatch)
.
Review, guide, and contribute to the development of automation frameworks and reusable test assets.
Lead
performance testing and engineering
efforts using tools such as
JMeter
.
Manage test execution, defect tracking, and provide
clear status reporting to stakeholders
.
Collaborate with development, product, and DevOps teams to ensure end-to-end quality.
Mentor, coach, and provide technical leadership to a team of Quality Engineers.
Advocate for
Agile testing practices
, CI/CD integration, and engineering excellence.
Stay updated on emerging testing tools, frameworks, and best practices to continuously improve quality processes.

Requirements

Bachelors Degree
in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
6+ years of professional experience
in software testing and quality engineering.
Proven experience in
leading test strategy definition, planning, and execution
.
Strong hands-on expertise in:
- UI and API test automation
  (Selenium, REST Assured).
- Performance testing
  (JMeter).
- Cloud technologies
  (AWS EC2, S3, Lambda, CloudWatch).
- CI/CD tools
  (Jenkins, Maven, Git).
Solid understanding of
Java, OOP concepts, and coding standards
.
Familiarity with
test management and defect tracking tools
, Agile methodologies, and service-oriented architectures.
Experience in
mentoring and leading teams
of Quality Engineers.
Professional certifications such as
ISTQB
are an advantage.
