Overview

Quality Engineer (4+ years of experience)

frontend, backend, and cloud-based applications

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and execute test plans, test cases, and automated scripts for frontend and backend components.
• Implement and maintain test automation frameworks using tools like Selenium (UI) and REST Assured (API).
• Perform manual, automated, and performance testing (using JMeter) to ensure comprehensive coverage and system reliability.
• Conduct testing in cloud-based environments (AWS - EC2, S3, Lambda, CloudWatch).
• Collaborate with developers, product managers, and DevOps teams to ensure end-to-end quality assurance.
• Contribute to continuous integration pipelines using Jenkins, Maven, Git, and ensure seamless integration of automated testing.
• Review, debug, and enhance automation scripts, while adhering to coding best practices.
• Apply knowledge of Agile testing methodologies and participate actively in sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives.
• Drive defect management and ensure clear reporting and tracking of issues throughout the lifecycle.
• Stay up to date with emerging testing tools, frameworks, and best practices.
  

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• 4+ years of enterprise application testing (manual & automation)
• Strong expertise in manual and automated testing across frontend and backend layers.
• Proficiency in Selenium, REST Assured, and JMeter.
• Hands-on experience with AWS services (EC2, S3, Lambda, CloudWatch).
• Proficient in Java with good understanding of OOP principles and coding standards.
• Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, Maven, Git).
• Knowledge of test management and defect tracking tools.
• Practical exposure to Agile software testing and engineering concepts.
• Understanding of testing middle-tier and service-oriented architectures.
