We seek an on-site General Medicine consultant to strengthen clinical delivery and multidisciplinary patient management.

About The Opportunity

Join a fast-paced clinical team focused on high-quality medical care, evidence-based protocols, and continuous professional development. You will manage a diverse caseload of adult medical patients, collaborate with critical care and specialty teams, and contribute to clinical governance and training.Role & Responsibilities
  • Provide thorough inpatient and outpatient consultations for adult patients—diagnosis, treatment planning, and continuity of care.
  • Lead daily ward rounds, write clear clinical notes and orders, and maintain accurate records in the EMR/HIS.
  • Manage acute admissions and clinical emergencies; stabilise patients and coordinate timely escalation to ICU or specialty services.
  • Perform common bedside procedures per hospital protocol (e.g., pleural/ascitic taps, peripheral/central line assistance) and use POCUS as indicated.
  • Coordinate multidisciplinary care with nursing, physiotherapy, pharmacy and consulting specialties to optimise patient outcomes and discharge planning.
  • Drive clinical quality initiatives—participate in audits, guideline development, morbidity & mortality reviews and mentor junior doctors.

Skills & Qualifications

Must-Have

  • Clinical diagnosis and management of adult medical conditions
  • Acute inpatient care and ward rounds
  • ECG interpretation
  • Point-of-care ultrasound (POCUS)
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
  • Electronic Medical Records (EMR) / Hospital Information Systems (HIS)

Preferred

  • Experience in critical-care liaison or ICU rotations
  • Training or experience in infectious disease management and antimicrobial stewardship
  • Fellowship or diploma in a related subspecialty (e.g., critical care, geriatrics)

Minimum Qualifications

  • MBBS with postgraduate qualification in Internal/General Medicine (MD/DNB/DM or equivalent).
  • Valid registration with the National Medical Commission (NMC) or relevant State Medical Council.
  • Current ACLS (and BLS) certification; POCUS training preferred.
