Consultant | Fusion Financial - Tax | Delhi | Oracle

We are looking for a Consultant / Senior Consultant with strong expertise in Oracle Fusion Financials, specializing in Tax configuration and compliance for European jurisdictions. The role requires hands-on experience in designing, implementing, and supporting Oracle Cloud Tax (E-Business Tax – eBTax) solutions aligned with EU VAT regulations and country-specific statutory requirements.

The individual will work closely with clients, functional teams, and technical experts to deliver compliant, scalable, and efficient Oracle Cloud Tax solutions within the Financials landscape.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and deliver Oracle Fusion Tax configurations across multiple European entities and tax regimes.
• Design and implement end-to-end indirect tax solutions (VAT, Intrastat, EC Sales List, Reverse Charge, Withholding Tax, etc.) within Oracle Cloud Financials.
• Work with clients to analyze business requirements, map tax processes, and ensure compliance with country-specific statutory rules and EU directives.
• Configure Tax Rules, Tax Regimes, Tax Jurisdictions, and Tax Reporting Codes in Oracle Cloud.
• Collaborate with finance and technology teams to ensure seamless tax calculation and reporting integration with Payables, Receivables, and Procurement modules.
• Support testing, validation, and documentation of tax setups during implementation and change cycles.
• Assist in designing localization and reporting solutions for European tax reporting (e.g., SAF-T, VAT returns, EC sales).
• Troubleshoot and resolve tax-related issues in production environments.
• Contribute to Deloitte’s Oracle practice by sharing knowledge on global and regional tax configurations, best practices, and accelerators.

Required Skills and Experience:

• 4–8 years of relevant experience in Oracle EBS or Oracle Cloud Financials, with 2+ years on Oracle Fusion Tax implementation or support.
• Strong functional understanding of European indirect taxation, especially EU VAT and related compliance processes.
• Proven hands-on experience in:
• Oracle Cloud Tax (eBTax) configuration and setup
• Designing tax rules, regimes, and reporting solutions
• Country-specific tax reporting and localizations (UK, France, Germany, Netherlands, etc.)
• Integration of Tax with AP, AR, Procurement, and GL modules
• Experience in supporting multi-country, multi-currency, and multi-legal-entity environments.
• Good understanding of accounting implications, tax determination logic, and reconciliation processes.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and client communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Oracle Cloud Financials or Oracle Fusion Tax Certification.
• Experience in global tax configurations (EMEA, APAC, LATAM exposure desirable).
• Knowledge of third-party tax solutions (e.g., Vertex, Avalara) integrated with Oracle Cloud.
• Prior experience in a consulting or client-facing implementation environment.

Educational Qualification:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Engineering / Computer Science with strong business process understanding.

As part of Deloitte’s Oracle practice, you will contribute to Oracle Cloud Financials implementations focused on tax compliance across Europe. You will work with clients to assess tax requirements, configure compliant Oracle Fusion Tax setups, and ensure alignment with local statutory mandates. You will also help drive process improvements, automation, and adoption of best practices across multi-entity and multi-country financial landscapes.
