Role Summary We are looking for an experienced and versatile Power Platform Developer with strong data analysis capabilities to join our Communities and Mobility digital team. The ideal candidate will be proficient in delivering integrated solutions using Power Apps, Power Automate, and Power BI, and will play a key role in co-developing tools that enhance transport planning workflows and client value. The appointed candidate will support a wide range of high-profile projects across the UK and internationally. They will contribute to the development of both lightweight, dynamic tools and comprehensive digital platforms that support the delivery of large-scale frameworks. Working alongside a team of developers and transport planners, the successful candidate will bring technical depth and a collaborative mindset to help scale our digital delivery. This includes leading development efforts, mentoring junior staff in Noida and Bengaluru, and contributing to the team’s growth in both capability and innovation. In addition to Power Platform expertise, the candidate should bring strong data analysis skills—including data modeling, transformation, and visualization—to support data-driven decision-making in transport planning. Experience with Python, SQL, or SPFx is highly desirable as we expand our digital toolkit beyond low-code solutions. Occasional travel to UK offices may be required for face-to-face collaboration with project teams and clients. Responsibilities Collaborate with transport planners to co-develop digital tools and data-driven solutions that enhance project delivery and client value. Design and build scalable, user-friendly applications using Power Apps, Power Automate, and Power BI. Analyse transport and infrastructure data to uncover insights, support decision-making, and improve planning outcomes. Develop interactive dashboards and reports that communicate complex data clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders. Mentor junior developers and analysts, fostering a culture of learning and technical excellence. Conduct quality reviews of digital tools and data models, ensuring accuracy, performance, and usability. Work closely with project managers to ensure digital and data components are delivered on time and to WSP’s standards. Maintain strong communication with UK-based teams and clients to ensure alignment and responsiveness. Mandatory Skills Strong understanding of data analysis, including data modeling, transformation (Power Query), and visualisation using Power BI. Proficiency in Python for data processing, automation, or analytical tasks. Ability to work collaboratively with non-technical stakeholders to translate domain-specific needs into digital solutions. Solid understanding of software development principles, including version control, modular design, and testing. Experience working in a team-based environment, with the ability to both lead and take direction as needed. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently within time and budget constraints. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel (including formulas, pivot tables, and data handling). Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences. Desired Skills Experience with GIS tools (e.g., ArcGIS, QGIS) or spatial data integration within Power BI or Power Apps Familiarity with UI/UX design principles and tools (e.g., Figma, Adobe XD, or Power Apps custom themes) to create intuitive and visually appealing user interfaces Experience with JavaScript and SharePoint Framework (SPFx) for custom development and integration Proficiency in SQL for querying, transforming, and managing structured data Experience with VBA for legacy Excel automation or tool enhancement Exposure to custom connectors, REST APIs, or integration with external systems Interest in or experience with transportation datasets, mobility analytics, or smart city applications
