Job Description

Key Responsibilities

1. Statutory & Labour Law Compliance (PAN India)

  • Ensure full compliance with central and state labour laws including:
    • Shops & Establishment Act

    • CLRA (Contract Labour Regulation & Abolition Act)

    • PF (Provident Fund)

    • ESIC (Employees State Insurance Corporation)

  • Monitor changes in legislation and update internal processes accordingly.

2. Compliance Operations & Audits

  • Conduct routine audits for all company units/sites PAN India.
  • Review statutory records, registers, licenses, contractor documents, and ensure timely renewals.
  • Handle inspections by government authorities and support legal matters.
  • Identify risks and implement corrective and preventive action plans.

3. Vendor & Contract Labour Compliance

  • Ensure vendor partners adhere to CLRA and other statutory compliance requirements.
  • Review vendor bills, muster rolls, wage registers, and verify statutory remittances.
  • Coordinate issuance and renewal of contractor licenses & principal employer certificates.

4. HR Statutory Filings & Documentation

  • Oversee monthly/quarterly/annual filings for PF, ESIC, LWF, Professional Tax, etc.
  • Maintain and update statutory registers and documentation as required by law.
  • Support HR in employee-related compliance matters including onboarding, exits, and grievance handling.

5. Compliance Tools, Reporting & Excel

  • Use compliance management tools (internal/external) for tracking and monitoring statutory compliances.
  • Prepare dashboards, MIS reports, audit summaries, and compliance scorecards.
  • Advanced Excel usage for data analysis, VLOOKUP, pivot tables, and reconciliation.

6. Internal Coordination

  • Liaise with Operations, HR, Finance, Legal, and external consultants to ensure seamless compliance management.
  • Support training and awareness sessions for employees on compliance processes.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in HR, Law, Commerce, or related field.
  • 8–10 years of experience in statutory/labour law compliance, preferably in a large multi-site organisation.
  • Strong knowledge of HR labour laws and PAN India statutory requirements.
  • Experience in dealing with government authorities and labour inspectors.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and compliance management tools/software.
  • Strong communication, documentation, and audit skills.
