Job Description

Key Responsibilities:


  1. Statutory Compliance Management :


Oversee and monitor statutory compliance across all company Factories & establishments, ensuring full adherence to labour laws and other applicable statutory requirements.

Collaborate closely with a third-party compliance agency to identify, manage, and mitigate potential compliance risks proactively, maintaining a continuous focus on regulatory adherence and non-compliance prevention.

Maintain an updated, comprehensive knowledge of labour laws and regulatory frameworks impacting manufacturing operations.


  1. Contractor Compliance and Audits:


Ensure all contractors comply with statutory and regulatory standards, conducting regular compliance audits and reviews to prevent issues.

Establish & implement compliance guidelines for contractors, supporting them in achieving regulatory standards across operations.


  1. Management of Third Party Agency:


Act as the primary point of contact for the third-party compliance agency, set the expectations, conduct regular compliance reviews of all Factories and establishments across India.

Facilitate and support audits, inspections and compliance checks conducted by the agency, ensuring all activities meet company and legal standards.

Monitor Third-party invoices, ensure timely settlement and obtain a monthly No Objection Certificate (NOC) from the agency.


  1. Compliance Monitoring and Reporting:


Establish a robust compliance monitoring and reporting system to track compliance metrics, audit outcomes, and monthly status updates from the third-party agency.

Prepare and present detailed compliance reports, highlighting compliance achievements, areas of concern, and recommended actions for improvement.

Ensure timely, accurate submission of statutory documents and forms in alignment with regulatory deadlines.


  1. Stakeholder Coordination:


Collaborate with internal teams, contractors, and other departments to gather necessary data and ensure compliance adherence across all units.

Address compliance queries from stakeholders, ensuring accurate and timely information sharing across teams.


  1. Government Liaison and Inspection Management:


Respond promptly and effectively to government inspection notices, co-ordinating with the third-party agency and relevant departments to address inquiries and implement corrective actions until inspection closure.

Establish and maintain strong relationships with government officials and regulatory bodies, representing the company in audits, inspections, and regulatory meetings to safeguard the organization s interests.


  1. Internal Audits and Audit Support:


Provide support for the company s internal audits, ensuring seamless coordination with the third-party agency and accurate, timely documentation.

Maintain audit readiness by conducting regular compliance checks, verifying that all compliance records, processes, and practices align with internal standards and regulatory requirements.


  1. Documentation and Record Maintenance:


Maintain a centralized compliance repository for both digital and physical records, ensuring organized and secure storage of all compliance-related documentation.

Update the Inspection Tracker regularly to monitor inspection schedules, results and follow-up actions, ensuring easy access and readiness for regulatory review.


  1. Team Management and Development:


Lead and manage the compliance team, providing guidance, training and support to ensure a high standard of performance and continuous improvement.

Foster a culture of compliance awareness, encouraging proactive compliance measures and adherence to standards across the organization.


  1. Continuous Improvement & Risk Management:


Identify compliance risks and implement strategies to mitigate them, including updating policies, procedures and controls in response to regulatory changes.

Drive continuous improvement in compliance processes, working with the agency and internal teams to enhance efficiency and prevent compliance gaps.

Qualifications:

Bachelor s degree in law, MSW, M.P.M., MBA in HR.

5+ years of relevant experience in Statutory Compliance & regulatory affairs, with a strong skills in managing third party agencies and liaising with government officials.

Key Skills:

Compliance Expertise: In-depth understanding of statutory compliance and regulatory frameworks.

Contractor and Stakeholder Management: Ability to enforce compliance standards with contractors and co-ordinate effectively with internal teams and external bodies.

Proactive Problem-Solving: Strong ability to anticipate and address compliance risks proactively.

Effective Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, especially for clear reporting, stakeholder co-ordination and government relations.

Meticulousness: Meticulous in maintaining documentation, preparing for audits, inspections and monitoring compliance activities.

Work Environment:

Willingness to travel across India to conduct compliance checks, manage contractors audits and liaise with Government bodies as required.
