Compliance and Governance: Ensuring the company adheres to all relevant laws, regulations, and corporate governance best practices.
Statutory Filings: Preparing and filing necessary documents with regulatory bodies (e.g., ROC filings).
Record Keeping: Maintaining statutory registers, minutes of meetings, and other company records.
Board and Shareholder Meetings: Coordinating and preparing for board and committee meetings, including drafting agendas and minutes.
Liaison: Interacting with external regulators, lawyers, and auditors.
Advisory: Providing advice to the board and senior management on governance matters.
Financial Accounting: Managing the company's day-to-day accounting, including maintaining ledgers, preparing financial statements, and performing reconciliations.
Taxation: Ensuring timely and accurate preparation and filing of tax returns (GST, income tax, etc.).
Budgeting and Forecasting: Assisting in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts.
Financial Reporting: Preparing financial reports and statements for management and other stakeholders.
Cash Management: Monitoring cash flow, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
In essence, this role requires a combination of strong legal and financial expertise to manage the company's legal obligations and financial health.
