Job Summary: The IT Asset Manager is responsible for overseeing the lifecycle of all IT assets within the organization, ensuring accurate tracking, compliance, and optimization. This role requires deep expertise in Configuration Management Database (CMDB) practices to maintain data integrity and support IT Service Management (ITSM) processes. Key Responsibilities: Asset Lifecycle Management: Track and manage IT assets from procurement to retirement. Maintain accurate inventory of hardware, software, and virtual assets. CMDB Management: Ensure the CMDB is accurate, up-to-date, and aligned with ITIL best practices. Define and enforce data standards, naming conventions, and relationships between Configuration Items (CIs).
