Communications Associate – Editorial & Outreach

Required Experience


Key Responsibilities

  • Writing support for the CEO’s office.
  • Institutional communications: Writing for newsletters and website.
  • External communications: Press releases and media responses to boost the reach of our research.
  • Social media writing for tailored outreach on LinkedIn, X, and Instagram. This will also be accompanied by design support for carousels, reels, GIFs, etc., that drive home the message.
  • Scripting support for podcasts, video, and multimedia content.
  • Editing: Language editing reports and knowledge products.
  • Talking points: Drafting talking points for top leadership’s media interactions or event speeches.
  • Media outreach.
  • Event support.


Preferred Skills & Competencies

  • Strong written and spoken communication skills in English and Hindi.
  • Can simplify research and public policy interventions into lucid storytelling.
  • Well-versed with environment and climate change news.
  • Has a flair for words and can deliver a range of writing styles and tone: Opinion pieces for print publications, press releases, video scripts, social media posts and report/newsletter content.
  • Sharp editing and content repurposing skills.
  • Detail-oriented and collaborative, even on tight deadlines.


Educational Qualifications

  • Undergraduate or post-graduate degree in English, Communications, Journalism, Public Policy or Environmental Sciences.
