Job Description

Communications Specialist will play a vital role in supporting a 24/7 team, with a strong emphasis on creating and managing community posts and communications for a global audience. This position requires excellent English language skills, flexibility to work across shifts for continuous coverage, and the ability to engage with complex, high-level stakeholders. The ideal candidate is highly organized, proactive, and experienced in developing, standardizing, and maintaining communications and documentation in a dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Community Engagement:

    Create, manage, and monitor community posts to foster engagement, share updates, and communicate key information to global audiences.
  • Strategic Communications:

    Develop and execute communication strategies for internal and external stakeholders, including executive/leadership communications, crisis communications, and general awareness campaigns.
  • Content Creation:

    Write and maintain concise, accurate communications, including knowledge base articles, Wiki content, processes, best practices, and presentations.
  • Internal Content Management:

    Create and manage internal site content, ensuring organizational accuracy, consistency, and brand alignment.
  • Document Control:

    Maintain a robust library for document control, team collaboration, and external socialization for the communications team.
  • Training Resource Development:

    Provide key business partners with information and recommendations to support the development and implementation of training resources and plans.
  • Process Simplification:

    Translate complex processes and procedures into clear, understandable language, workflows, and step-by-step instructions.
  • End-to-End Communications:

    Participate in all phases of communications development, from project planning through release, including writing, editing, and publishing.
  • Cross-Project Coordination:

    Identify intersection points across multiple projects and teams to maximize efforts and consolidate communications, reducing noise and improving clarity.
  • Operational Efficiency:

    Seek and communicate opportunities for process improvement while documenting content, collaborating with subject matter experts (SMEs) and managers.
  • Collaboration:

    Work collaboratively with various teams and disciplines to develop communications that meet their intended purpose, within schedule and budget limitations.
  • Audience Adaptation:

    Tailor content to fit the needs of different audiences, applying critical thinking to ensure communications meet standards and are contextually appropriate.
  • Industry Awareness:

    Maintain working knowledge of industry-standard platforms and best practices.


Qualifications

  • Education:

    Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Experience:

    5–7 years of experience in communications, content creation, or related roles, with a proven track record of managing community posts and presenting policies and procedures on a global scale.
  • Project Management:

    Demonstrated project management skills with a proven ability to drive results.
  • Stakeholder Engagement:

    Ability to analyze stakeholder needs, resolve conflicts, and communicate decisions in a timely and effective manner.
  • Global Program Support:

    Experience managing requests and concerns from regional and local partners to ensure the success of global programs.
  • Leadership:

    Demonstrated leadership skills, including experience working in a cross-functional or cross-pyramid capacity.
  • Communication:

    Excellent English communication skills—written, verbal, and presentation—with the ability to engage with complex, high-level stakeholders.
  • Analytical Skills:

    Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities.
  • Motivation:

    Highly motivated, positive attitude, and able to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Technical Proficiency:

    Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Flexibility:

    Willingness and ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays, to support 24/7 operations.
