Job Purpose
Responsible for Cost management by negotiation of costs & contracts for continuous growing business need. Managing supplier base (PAN India) thru Improvement programs, Supplier Consolidation & exploring new reliable suppliers at reasonable prices & desired quality.
Key Responsibilities
- Responsible for Cost management of below commodities within budgeted levels;
Tires, Paints, Rubber & Plastic Molded components, Seals, Seating system, adhesives & Fluid lines with an annual spend of INR Cr 90+ ($M 11).
- Development of commodity strategy/ components for new product launches within time-line and cost targets. Achieving departmental cost efficiency targets
- Engage with key stake holders, both global & domestic for sourcing driving Cost reduction initiatives
- Achieve annual cost negotiations (YOY, RM fluctuations, commercial cost reduction etc;) and support VA/VE initiatives
- Quality improvement thru resolution of current product quality & reliability issues
- Optimization of Supplier Base thru Improvement programs, Supplier Consolidation, VAVE
- Ensure capacity at suppliers to meet production numbers.
Experience Required
- Knowledge & understanding of market, Raw material movement in industry
- Process knowhow and costing of parts
- Presentation skills, Negotiation skills, Communication kills
- Exp +10 years
Preferred Qualifications
B.E / B.Tech in Mechanical\Automobile Engineering
