Job Overview

Key Responsibilities

• Perform

  detailed design reviews

  of architectural plans and specifications in alignment with IECC 2021 and 2024 requirements.
• Provide

  technical recommendations

  for building envelope systems, assemblies, and details to improve compliance and performance.
• Conduct

  commissioning design reviews

  with an emphasis on

  building envelope commissioning (BECx)

  .
• Review

  MEP commissioning documentation

  , including drawings, specifications, and sequences of operation.
• Prepare

  clear and detailed reports

  documenting findings, corrective actions, and recommendations.
• Contribute to

  proposal development

  by drafting technical narratives, defining scope, and shaping project approach.
• Meet directly with

  architects, engineers, and owners

  to present reviews and recommendations.
• Utilize proprietary

  commissioning software

  for reviews, reporting, and documentation.
• Stay current with

  energy codes, commissioning standards, ASTM standards, and industry best practices

  .

Must-Haves

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in

  Architecture, Engineering, or related field

  .

• 5+ years of experience

  in commissioning, building envelope consulting, or architectural/MEP design review.
• Strong knowledge of

  IECC 2021/2024 energy codes

  and related performance standards.
• Proven ability to conduct

  design reviews

  and deliver actionable recommendations.
• Excellent

  English communication skills

  (written & verbal).
• Strong

  technical writing

  abilities for reports and proposals.
• Client-facing confidence and professionalism when engaging with architects and design teams.
• Preference for candidates with significant

  building envelope commissioning (BECx)

  experience.
