Collections Coordinator

Job Title: Collection Executive Department: Accounts/Finance Job Summary: The Collection Executive is responsible for managing and recovering outstanding payments from customers who have purchased paper products on credit. The role involves maintaining healthy customer relationships while ensuring timely collection of dues to maintain the company's cash flow. Key Responsibilities: ·        Follow up with customers via phone calls, emails, and visits to collect outstanding payments for paper products sold on credit. ·        Maintain accurate records of all collection activities, payment schedules, and customer communications in the system. ·        Negotiate payment plans with customers facing financial difficulties while protecting the company's interests. ·        Coordinate with the sales team to resolve any disputes related to invoices, product quality, or delivery issues that may be delaying payments. ·        Prepare daily and weekly collection reports for management review. Issue payment reminders and follow-up notices to customers before and after due dates. ·        Make sure to send runner to visit client offices when necessary to collect cheques or resolve payment issues in person. ·        Identify high-risk accounts and escalate them to senior management for appropriate action. ·        Maintain positive relationships with customers to ensure future business while being firm about payment commitments. Required Skills: Good communication and negotiation skills Basic knowledge of accounting and billing processes Proficiency in MS Excel and accounting software Ability to handle pressure and meet collection targets Professional telephone etiquette Qualifications: Graduate in Commerce/Business Administration or related field Experience: 1-3 years in collections, accounts receivable, or related field
