Job Description

A Debt Collection Team Leader manages a team of debt collectors, focusing on efficiently recovering outstanding debts while maintaining customer satisfaction and ensuring legal compliance; key duties include performance monitoring, coaching staff, setting targets, analyzing KPIs, handling escalations, developing strategies, and reporting to management, requiring strong leadership, negotiation, and regulatory knowledge. Key Responsibilities Team Leadership: Motivate, train, and manage a team of collection agents, conducting performance reviews and fostering a positive environment. Performance Management: Set daily/weekly/monthly collection targets, monitor KPIs (Key Performance Indicators), analyze data, and implement corrective actions. Debt Recovery: Oversee daily operations, develop strategies for efficient debt recovery, and manage the delinquency portfolio. Compliance: Ensure adherence to all relevant debt collection laws, regulations, and company policies. Customer Relations: Handle escalated customer issues and ensure agents maintain professionalism and positive relationships. Reporting: Prepare and present performance reports to senior management. Strategy: Collaborate with stakeholders to improve processes and maximize recovery rates.
