Collection officer for project receivables

Tracking and identifying overdue accounts and delinquent payments related to various projects.
Client Communication:
Contacting clients via phone, email, or formal letters and personal visits to inform them of overdue bills and discuss payment options. This requires excellent communication and negotiation skills.
Negotiating Payment Plans:
Developing and negotiating suitable, tailored payment plans or schedules with clients who are experiencing financial difficulties to facilitate debt recovery.
Resolving Disputes:
Working with internal teams (such as project managers, sales, and legal departments) to address and resolve any billing issues, invoice discrepancies, or customer complaints.
Maintaining Accurate Records:
Meticulously documenting all collection activities, communications, and payment arrangements in the company database or accounting software to ensure transparency and compliance with regulations.
Reporting:
Preparing regular reports for management on the status of accounts receivable, aging reports, collection activity, and payment forecasts to help in decision-making

Skills:

Good conversational skills.
Should be able to handle clients tones and crack the deal.
Excel knowledge.
Strategic thinker-
Adapting collection strategies on a case-by-case basis, knowing when to be patient and when to escalate.
