Job Description

Cluster Head – Mobility

  • Leadership of multiple depots within a cluster (city/zone) and coordination of depot managers’ activities. ​
  • Responsible for city-wide bus operations, P&L of the City, fleet management, fleet Maintenance and KPI performance metrics. ​
  • Overseeing scheduling, staff deployment, on-ground issue escalation, and customer grievances. ​
  • Take full ownership of the entire cluster and ensure 100% alignment to customer requirements
  • Delivery on KPIs related to KM run, On Time Dispatch, Bus Uptime & aesthetics, Safety, regulatory compliance, and cost targets. ​
  • Maintaining vendor relations, handling large blue-collar teams, and day-to-day operational troubleshooting. ​
  • Kannada proficiency is mandatory. ​
  • Experience: 2-6 years in transport/mobility/logistics, with 1-2 years domain experience preferred.
  • Renumeration: 12-15L PA

Key Result Areas

  • Operational oversight:

     Managing a group of routes or a designated cluster of electric buses to ensure smooth and efficient service delivery.
  • Scheduling and planning:

     Developing and optimizing daily, weekly, and monthly schedules for routes, drivers, and vehicle deployment, which is particularly complex for electric buses due to charging needs.
  • Performance monitoring:

     Tracking key performance indicators (KPIs), such as on-time performance, punctuality, and adherence to schedules. This also includes monitoring data related to battery charge, range, and charging infrastructure usage.
  • Driver and staff management:

     Supervising a team of drivers and other staff, handling issues like attendance, training, and performance management.
  • Maintenance and charging coordination:

     Working with maintenance teams to ensure buses are serviced regularly and coordinating charging schedules to ensure vehicles are ready for service and the charging infrastructure is utilized effectively.
  • Contract and SLA management:

     Ensuring that operations comply with service level agreements (SLAs) with the transport authority and managing relationships with various stakeholders.
  • Problem-solving:

     Addressing issues that arise, such as vehicle breakdowns, software glitches, or route disruptions, and implementing solutions to minimize impact on service.
  • Data analysis:

     Using data analytics to make informed decisions about service improvements, resource allocation, and future planning.
