Key Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and manage scalable, secure, and cost-efficient infrastructure on

  Google Cloud Platform (GCP)

  .
• Manage and maintain

  on-prem Linux servers

  including system updates, performance tuning, and troubleshooting.
• Implement and manage

  CI/CD pipelines

  (Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or GitHub Actions).
• Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration using

  Terraform

  ,

  Ansible

  , or similar tools.
• Set up and maintain

  monitoring, logging, and alerting systems

  using tools like

  Prometheus

  ,

  Grafana

  ,

  Stackdriver (Cloud Monitoring)

  , or

  ELK Stack

• Manage

  networking

  ,

  firewall rules

  ,

  load balancers

  , and

  VPN connectivity

  between on-prem and cloud environments.
• Ensure

  security, compliance, and identity management

  across infrastructure using IAM policies and least-privilege principles.
• Optimize performance and costs for compute, storage, and network resources.
• Collaborate with development teams to deploy and manage applications in containerized environments using

  Docker

  and

  Kubernetes (GKE or EKS)

  .
• Provide technical documentation, disaster recovery strategies, and contribute to infrastructure automation initiatives.
• Experienced with Python or Bash scripting for automation.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 4–6 years

  of hands-on experience as a Cloud or Systems Engineer.
• Proven expertise in

  Google Cloud Platform (GCP)

  — Compute Engine, Cloud Storage, VPC, IAM, Cloud SQL, Cloud Run, Pub/Sub, and Cloud Monitoring.
• Strong proficiency in

  Linux (Ubuntu/CentOS)

  administration — shell scripting, performance tuning, package management, and system hardening.
• Working knowledge of

  CI/CD pipelines

  ,

  Git

  , and

  infrastructure-as-code (Terraform)

  .
• Experience managing

  hybrid or multi-cloud

  infrastructure.
• Familiarity with

  containerization

  (Docker, Kubernetes) and

  microservices architecture

  .
• Understanding of

  networking concepts

  (DNS, VPN, routing, firewalls, load balancing).
• Knowledge of

  security best practices

  for cloud and on-prem environments.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
