Requirements

We are looking for a seasoned

Cloud Architect

with a strong foundation in

Advanced SQL, ETL frameworks

, and cloud technologies, specifically

AWS and Azure

. With over 9 years of professional experience, the ideal candidate will lead our cloud transformation initiatives, architect robust data pipelines, and ensure scalable and secure deployment of services across public cloud environments. This is a high-impact role that will collaborate closely with Data Engineering, DevOps, Security, and Application Development teams.

Key Responsibilities

Design and Implement Cloud Architecture: Lead the design, development, and deployment of cloud solutions using Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Microsoft Azure. Ensure optimal performance, scalability, and security across cloud-hosted systems.
ETL Process Development: Architect and maintain robust ETL pipelines for large-scale data ingestion, transformation, and integration. Leverage cloud-native and third-party tools for real-time and batch processing.
Advanced SQL & Data Optimization: Develop, debug, and optimize complex SQL queries and stored procedures for analytical processing, reporting, and data validation across distributed databases like Redshift, Synapse, or Snowflake.
Cloud Governance & Security: Implement and enforce cloud governance, cost controls, identity management, and data security best practices. Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
Infrastructure as Code & Automation: Use tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, or ARM templates to define infrastructure. Automate deployments using CI/CD pipelines integrated with tools like Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps.
Collaboration & Technical Leadership: Work cross-functionally with engineering, product, and business teams to understand requirements and translate them into scalable, resilient cloud solutions. Mentor junior engineers and guide architectural best practices.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
Minimum 9 years of professional experience in IT with at least 5 years in cloud architecture roles.
Deep expertise in AWS (EC2, S3, Lambda, Redshift) and/or Azure (Azure Functions, Data Factory, Synapse).
Strong command of Advanced SQL, query tuning, and data modeling concepts.
Proficiency in ETL design and development using tools such as Apache Airflow, Talend, Informatica, or cloud-native alternatives.
Experience in containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and microservices deployment in cloud environments.
Strong grasp of CI/CD principles, version control (Git), and DevOps methodologies.
Understanding of data privacy, security frameworks, and compliance requirements.
Excellent communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills.

Preferred Certifications (a plus):

AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Professional
Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert
Google Cloud Professional Data Engineer (if multi-cloud exposure exists)
