Cloud Architect

with a strong background in

Google Cloud Platform (GCP)

to join our technology team. The ideal candidate will have 10-14 years of experience in IT infrastructure, cloud computing, and solution architecture, with proven expertise in designing, deploying, and managing scalable, secure, and cost-effective cloud solutions. This role requires a deep understanding of cloud-native design, hybrid and multi-cloud strategies, and modern DevOps practices to drive enterprise-wide cloud adoption and transformation.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities:

Lead the end-to-end design and architecture of solutions on Google Cloud Platform, ensuring scalability, security, performance, and high availability.
Partner with stakeholders across engineering, product, and operations teams to translate business requirements into robust cloud solutions.
Define cloud strategies, adoption roadmaps, and migration frameworks to modernize legacy workloads and infrastructure.
Implement cloud governance, security frameworks, and compliance standards to safeguard applications and data.
Evaluate and recommend GCP services such as Compute Engine, Kubernetes Engine, Cloud Storage, BigQuery, Pub/Sub, and Cloud Functions for different workloads.
Provide architectural oversight for cloud-native applications, data pipelines, API integrations, and microservices deployment.
Collaborate with DevOps teams to define CI/CD pipelines, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), and automated deployment frameworks using tools like Terraform, Ansible, and Jenkins.
Optimize cloud costs by designing efficient resource utilization strategies, monitoring usage patterns, and implementing cost-control measures.
Mentor engineering teams by sharing best practices, conducting training sessions, and fostering a culture of innovation and technical excellence.
Stay updated on emerging cloud technologies, trends, and GCP innovations to continually enhance enterprise cloud capabilities.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

10-14 years of total IT experience, with at least 5+ years in cloud architecture and design.
Strong hands-on expertise in Google Cloud Platform (GCP), including compute, networking, storage, identity management, and data services.
Proven track record in cloud architecture, solution design, and enterprise cloud migration projects.
Solid understanding of cloud security, IAM, encryption, network segmentation, and compliance requirements.
Experience in Kubernetes, Docker, and container orchestration for modern application deployment.
Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform or equivalent tools.
Strong background in networking concepts, distributed systems, and high-availability design.
Exposure to multi-cloud and hybrid cloud solutions and integration with on-premises infrastructure.
Excellent problem-solving, analytical thinking, and communication skills.
Professional certifications such as Google Cloud Certified - Professional Cloud Architect or equivalent are highly desirable
